It is important to regularly clean your Return Air Filter to maintain optimum performance. A blocked or dirty filter will reduce the amount of air you will recieve at the outlets. It' easy to clean the filter, here's how:-- Pull down with the knob/s. This will swing down with hinges.
- Remove the filter from the grille. (noting how the filter is positioned)
- Using mild pressure with a garden hose spray down both sides of the filter until clean.
- Allow to dry and refit to the grille and snap the grille up to the ceiling.
Mechanical problems also arise, due to lack of airflow thru the unit. - Icing up of the Evaporator.
- Flooding of water and water damage to the ceiling.
- Return Air duct collapsing.
Please do not use a brush or a vacuum cleaner as this will pull the fibres apart reducing the life of the filter considerably.
